Creativity Waltzed In

Not really sure what I was doing when creativity took a hard left straight out of my life.

Once, on a creative streak. To creative stillness. Fair, I suppose. I mean, life is so many series of events leading us this way and that.

Enter October of 2025. Was at my dad’s watching tv and I never watch tv. Ran across a YouTube channel I was instantly drawn to. Her style. Her colors. Mine! I started watching her videos. All of them, haha.

No art for 3 years, suddenly turned into 10 custom handmade art pieces for my family. That has now grown to 5 more pieces for family and a friend.

Fast forward to now. Because of that YouTube channel, I was introduced to another artist and another and another. It’s amazing that tv has led back into an art existence.

Last weekend I attended a creative workshop and on the way home, I counted 54 things I learned. 54 things!

Things about business, photography, layouts, posts, social media, reels, instagram. Information that gets the wheels turning and something called

possibilities

showed back up.

The YouTube channel is called Debi’s Design Diary. Here’s a link to her website if you’d like to check it out: https://diyagogo.com

The creative workshop I attended was by an amazing artist named Dionne Woods at The Turquoise Iris. She offers classes, workshops, coaching, and retreats. Here is her website: https://www.theturquoiseiris.com

Up in art from here. Love when creativity finds its way back in.

Thanks for reading! Hope you’re doing well.

  1. How wonderful to hear from you again, Jessica! I am not back online yet due to no Internet following the big ice storm, but at least we have power now. I will look forward to following up after we are able to have Internet access again. Still, it was wonderful to read your news.
