Dancing Couple Brooch

I know I always talk about how I love vintage jewelry, but this time I had to have something that’s newer. A sparkling brooch.

Why the plunge for something made more recently?

They’re dancing!

One of the many gifts of my momma was that she passed on her absolute LoVe for music. Andddddd, dancing. We’re not talking dance lessons dancing. We’re talking dance-however-you-want-to-in-any-room-of-the-house- dancing.

My momma loved dancing so much, that her kitchen became the infamous “Diane’s Dance Hall” of our youth. We cranked the tunes and cut a rug in the kitchen on many occasions.

When she was in the hospital, she asked to hear 70’s music. At her services we played her music play lists that were filled with 1970’s to 1990’s songs.

When I saw this sparkly couple dancing brooch, I had to have it. The details are really cool. Check these out:

a dancing couple brooch I got
red rhinestone dress
she’s wearing a crown and necklace
his tux is white rhinestones and has a bow tie
love their arm details, hers on his shoulder, his on her waist

I absolutely love this piece. To find it, I typed ‘dancing couple brooch’ into the search box on eBay. Then, because I hit that heart shaped Watch button on they have on eBay, the seller offered me a $3 discount. This beauty only cost me $9 plus shipping.

Yesterday, my boy and I turned up the music SO loud and I danced and danced. First, it was some 70’s oldies like KC and the Sunshine Band and Leo Sayer’s “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing.” Followed by some AC/DC and Bon Jovi, ha ha.

Oh my, we had so much fun. And, in honor of my momma, I decided to name my kitchen, Diane’s Dance Hall 2.

Can’t wait to create something with this brooch. I love this post. So fun and joyful.

Hope you have a great day!

    • Thank you! I hope he remembers dancing around the house with me when he grows up. Maybe he’ll dance with his kids, too. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you, I think it’s pretty, too.

  1. This is a beautiful piece! Your post made me notice the details. I am sure whatever you create with it will be a nice tribute to your mom. It sounds like your mom loved life! And to pass that on to you is a great gift!

  2. Wonderful find! It’s always nice to come across something that helps preserve or rekindle fond memories. I smiled when you said old songs from the 70’s and 80’s. To me, old songs are the 50’s and 60’s (and some 70’s 😊) Dancing just to dance is something I like to do too. I can’t wait to see your creation with the brooch.

    • Hi! How are you today?

Thank you. I saw it on one of those ‘similar products’ pictures on eBay, so I looked it up. There’s another one I want that’s a woman with a blue rhinestone dress. The stones look like diagonal shapes and are a deep blue.

Thank you. It was pure fun to dance around. So. Much. Laughing. I love all those older songs, too. I want to have a pool party with 70’s music. Ha ha.
